Salvation is not the aim of the law. Trying to gain salvation by the law is like trying to use a bowling ball as a parachute. It doesn’t work because it’s not supposed to.
What works are you tempted to believe will make you acceptable to God?
Know How to Respond
As a group - Take time to remind one another of why the gospel is better news. Encourage each other in the truth. Righteousness comes through faith to free you from the curse of the law. Pray for gospel freedom, pray for that freedom to take root in our church and that it would result in joyful worship.
