This Week in Kid City | August 3

Hi Kid City!

This week we talked about two Kings, the first King was King David. King David had a heart after God’s own heart. He loved God and God loved him. God made a big promise to David. He promised David that someone in his family would be the FOREVER King. This King would come and rescue us from all of the sin and brokenness in the world and would reign forever! This King is King Jesus!

Main Truth: Jesus is our forever King

Bible Verse: “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might” – Deuteronomy 6:5

Coloring Sheets – Attached

Activity – This week as we remember that Jesus is our forever King, let’s make paper crowns out of construction paper (or any other creative supplies you have at your house!). Remind your child or write on their crown that ‘Jesus is our King’ and he will reign FOREVER!

Love – put your hand over your heart

The Lord your God – point up to the sky

With all of your heart – put your hands over your heart

With all of your soul – wrap your arms around you like a hug

And with all of your might – strong arms
