Bible Reading- 1 Timothy 6

Know God

  1. Paul says in verses 3-4 that one who has no understanding of the gospel has no understanding of anything, how can this be? Apply the significance of this to other areas of life.

Know Ourselves

  1. Paul gives a lot of commands in this chapter; list them and share which one strikes/impacts you most. 

  2. In verses 5 and 6, Paul says godliness is not a means of gain but that godliness with contentment IS gain. Explain this and share where you need to apply this truth to your life.  

  3. Part of taking hold of eternal life (v12) is fighting and fleeing (verses 11&12). Where is God calling you to fight right now, and what is He calling you to flee from? 

Know How to Respond

As a Group - Read Deuteronomy 8:1-3 and pray it over the group. 
Individually - Memorize Matthew 4:4
