Bible Reading- 2 Timothy 2
Know God
In verse 3, why would sharing in suffering be part of a good soldier’s duty? What is Paul’s conclusion about suffering (v9) and what is the result of it (v10)?
God’s foundation (v19) is immovable. What is this foundation, of what does it serve as the foundation? (Hint: Ephesians 2:19-22) Describe in your own words the two parts of the seal that is on the foundation.
Know Ourselves
(Vs 16) Paul warns Timothy to avoid irreverent babble (empty, vain discussions) leading to ungodliness and ending as gangrene in the church body. Why do our words matter so much? Are there areas you’ve introduced gangrenous speech for which you need to repent?
How can the vessel for dishonorable use become an honored vessel (v21-22)? How does this need to happen in your life? How can your group pursue these things together?
Know How to Respond
As a Group - Paul tells Timothy that the Lord’s servant will have opponents (v25). Why is this? Who are your opponents? Pray verses 25 and 26 over them.
