Read: Galatians 2:1-10
This passage coincides with Paul’s trip to Jerusalem mentioned at the end of Acts 11. The famine mentioned in the end of Acts 11 may also explain why Peter asked Paul to remember the poor.
Know the Word:
1. What does Paul’s fight look like in this passage?
2. Paul knew when to stand and fight (v5) and when to bow in submission (v10). How is this a picture of the gospel? Why is it so difficult to follow Paul’s example?
Know ourselves:
1. Where do you see opportunities to fight for the building up of the body? What’s preventing you from engaging in the fight?
2. Paul’s journey to meet the other apostles was to ensure the purity of the gospel within the church. What is the pure gospel and how can you help City Church hold on to it?
Know how to respond:
Remembering the poor in verse 10 was a reference to Christian brothers and sisters. Are there needs amongst your brothers and sisters that you could be meeting? If so, what are they? If not, ask God to give you opportunities to love and serve the body of Christ.
