This Week in Kid City | July 20
Hi Kid City!
This week we learned about the Tabernacle. God loves his people and God wanted to be WITH his people, so he asked Moses to make a home where he could dwell with his people called the Tabernacle. We know that many years later, God sends Jesus to rescue his people so that we can dwell with God forever. Now, when we put our faith in Jesus, God sends his spirit to dwell WITH us! He makes our body his home.
Below is a list of activities that you can engage your little one throughout the week. It will also be posted to Instagram (@fwcitychurchkids) and Facebook (City Church Kids).
Main Truth: God is always with me
Bible Verse: “Taste and see that the Lord is good” -Psalm 34:8
Activity – As we learn about how the Tabernacle is like a home, ask your little one to draw a picture. Explain to them how God asked Moses to make a home for God to dwell with his people. Then ask your little one to draw their depiction of a “home” for God. Next, explain the gospel and remind them that when we put our faith in Jesus, God sends his Spirit to live with us. He makes our bodies His home! Have your little one draw a picture of themselves as you remind them of this truth!
Memory Verse – “Taste and see that the Lord is good” – Psalm 34:8
Taste- point your hands to your mouth
And see- point your hands to your eyes
That the Lord is good- point up to the sky
