This Week in Kid City | June 15

Hi Kid City!

This week we are continuing to learn about how God is love and God loves us! We read about Jesus and how he is a friend to little children. Jesus teaches us that there is nothing we have to do to earn his love, yet he loves us because we are his! His love is a gift and we just have to receive it. Below is a list of activities that you can engage your little one throughout the week. It will also be posted to Instagram (@fwcitychurchkids) and Facebook (City Church Kids). 

Read With Us– “The Friend of little children” on page 256 of the Jesus Storybook Bible

Main Truth: God is love

Bible Verse: “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His love endures forever” – Psalm 136:1

Prayer Activity– Jesus loves ME! This week cut out a heart and write, “Jesus Loves Me” on it. You can personalize it by writing your child’s name, or if your child is working on their letters, allow them to write (or trace) their name. While you pray with your child this week, pray with them and thank Jesus for loving them and for being their friend. 

Activity– We are continuing to learn that God is Love. Write, “God is Love” on a banner of paper in block letters and allow your child to decorate it! Remind them of God’s truth and how he loves his children. If you do not have the supplies for a banner, you can use construction paper, cardboard or anything you have on hand! Let the banner or sign hang in your home this week reminding your child (and your whole family) that God is love!
