This Week in Kid City | May 11
Hi Kid City!
Today we are continuing to learn that God is a promise keeper! We read about how he rescued his people out of Egypt and he promised to rescue us once and for all. We know he did just that by sending his son Jesus!!
Below is a list of activities that you can engage your little one throughout the week. It will also be posted to Instagram (@fwcitychurchkids) and Facebook (City Church Kids).
Read With Us– “God to the rescue” in the Jesus Storybook Bible, page 84
Main Truth: God is a Promise Keeper!
Bible Verse: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him, will not perish, but have eternal life” –John 3:16
Prayer Activity– This week let’s pray to God, our Promise Keeper.
This week let’s invite God into our lives throughout the day and ask him “Lord, help”. Remind your little one he or she can ask God for help anytime of the day because he is always with us! You can also show them by example as you audibly ask God for help throughout your day. When a moment is tense, or you may not know what to do, remember to stop and pray, “Lord, help”.
Activity– Toy rescue!
Just like God rescued his people out of Egypt, let your little one’s rescue their toys! Simply tape their toys with masking tape or painters tape to a baking sheet. Have your little ones rescue their toys by taking them out of the tape. Tell your kiddos that they rescued their toys just like God rescued us!
Sing & Dance– Good, Good Father

MemoryVerse– “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
For God – point up
So loved – hug yourself
The world – make a circle with your harms above your head
He gave his one and only son – hold up a one with your finger
That whoever believes in him – point to your head
Will not perish – wag finger back and forth
But have eternal life – reach arms forward in a circular motion
